Formerly known as the Outstanding Applied Intervention Award, this honor has been renamed in recognition of Dr. Aubrey Daniels, whose pioneering work established the field of Organizational Behavior Management and whose legacy continues to shape its future. Dr. Laske has spoken fondly of meeting Dr. Daniels in 2019 and remembers his warmth and generosity during that encounter.

Award-Winning Project

The recognized project began in 2022 with pen-and-paper sketches during a conference social that grew into a multi-site collaboration in Italy. Together with colleague Luca Giani and the team at Behavior Factory, Dr. Laske co-developed an intervention focused on behavioral safety, coaching, and feedback for front-line safety leaders. This collaboration exemplifies the values of applied OBM: translating research into meaningful, sustainable improvements in organizational safety.

Receiving the award surrounded by mentors, colleagues, and collaborators was both humbling and energizing. Dr. Laske extends his thanks to the OBM Network for this recognition and to Luca and the Behavior Factory team for their partnership in advancing this important work.
